VEO launches a new light switchgear to complement its VEDA product family

The new VEDA Light is a low-voltage switchgear designed for low-power solutions. It is compact, has solid structure and optimal composition and usability. 

– The product development at VEO started by customer need, says VEO’s Product Manager, Jussi Anttila. 

– Maximum power is not always required for low-voltage solutions. We have made light versions of our popular VEDA switchgear as custom order. However, when we noticed that the same need came up almost without exception in our offer requests, we decided to process our own light switchgear. 

VEDA Light combines compact size and solid structure. It is only 400 millimetres deep and takes up less space on site. Despite its name, the VEDA Light is as sturdily built as the other versions of the VEDA family. The VEDA Light has a rated nominal current up to 1000 A and a short circuit withstand up to 32 kA. 

Aiming for the best possible customer service 

Like the other VEDA switchgears, VEDA Light is designed to meet the needs of heavy industry, and always tailored to the customer’s specific needs. 

 – Thanks to VEDA Light, now also in low-power solutions the whole project from the components to commissioning can be in our own hands. That saves time and ensures the best possible quality, Anttila clarifies. 

VEDA Light complements VEO’s turnkey delivery capability, further expands the scope of VEDA technology, and enables the best possible service and partnership to existing and potential customers. 

Agile product development 

While product development usually takes years, VEDA Light was productised in only six months. Thanks to the already existing and continuously developed VEDA technology. 

– At VEO, we develop our products constantly, to keep them up to date. Thus, even new product launches do not always require such a huge effort. VEDA Light is a great example on our teamwork between departments; our R&D, production and sales did a great job with the product development. VEDA Light has already attracted widespread interest and is increasingly utilised in VEO’s customer projects, Anttila sums up.
