NEW VECTOR 36 kV switchgear

Built on the trusted VECTOR platform, VECTOR 36 kV expands the technology into a new voltage segment. Same compact design, same ease of use and serviceability – but engineered for higher demands.

Our engineers squeezed in as many amperes per square meter as they could, to design this optimally sized power package. VECTOR 36 kV is available as a stand-alone product or as part of a full turnkey delivery.

  • New 36 kV voltage level for demanding energy applications
  • Smarter installation and improved serviceability, shaped by field experience
  • Flexibility to deliver as a turnkey solution or as a stand-alone product

The fully type-tested VECTOR switchgear is extremely reliable in ensuring personal safety. Comprehensive combinations of electrical and mechanical interlockings secure safe operations and maintenance and prevent access to potentially dangerous parts. Each of the five compartments – busbar, circuit breaker, cable- and low voltage compartments are isolated by metal, preventing damage to spread in case of an arc fault.

VECTOR FAQ

This depends on the voltage and the number of cable bars. Typically, 1 to 8 cables can be connected per phase, but we also offer solutions for connecting more if required.

VECTOR is designed for easy cabling and maintenance, featuring high cabling space and an optimal cable connection height. Its spacious design also accommodates cable current transformers within the switchgear.

VECTOR meets the highest LSC2B outage class standards. Its cable, circuit breaker, and busbar compartments are housed in separate, metal-enclosed units. This design allows the circuit breaker to be serviced while the switchgear is energised. Yet, we recommend performing repair and installation work only on a de-energised switchgear.

Absolutely. At VEO, we are well-versed in the technologies available on the market, allowing us to integrate products from any brand into our solutions.

VECTOR’s safety is guaranteed through locking and blocking mechanisms to prevent misuse. VECTOR’s design ensures exceptional strength and lightness, despite being made entirely of sheet metal. VECTOR has also undergone rigorous short-circuit and arc testing, including SCT and IAT tests at IPH up to 40/100 kA.

VECTOR is designed with sustainability in mind. It is optimally sized to minimise excess material and power dissipation. The switchgear has a high recycling rate and is entirely free of SF6 gas. Furthermore, we have conducted a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for VECTOR.

VECTOR is completely Finnish made. All our technologies are manufactured and tested at our factory in Vaasa.
