New CEO for VEO
January 15, 2019Timo Ala-Heikkilä has been appointed as the new CEO of VEO Oy starting from January 15, 2019. Timo Ala-Heikkilä has strong experience in managing international projects in different companies. He joined VEO as Director of the Industry unit in 2017. Previous CEO Marko Ekman has left the company.
During Marko Ekman’s term as CEO, between years 2014–2018, VEO’s business has become more international and has grown significantly. The company’s profitability has also continuously improved and turnover in 2018 exceeded EUR 100 million. VEO’s Board of Directors warmly thanks Marko Ekman for his excellent work.
VEO has already set new ambitious targets for the future. A projected turnover of EUR 200 million by 2023 and improved profitability will provide interesting challenges for both the new CEO and the whole company. Timo Ala-Heikkilä’s experience helps VEO to progress towards the company’s next stage, where internationality and the importance of technology hold a key position.
