Olav Lundström to Lead VEO’s Lifecycle Services

4 marraskuun, 2024

VEO launches a new service function dedicated to the maintenance and repair of its supplied equipment. This development project aims to enhance VEO’s customer service and maximise the lifespan of solutions.

The new function will be managed by a team of professional service engineers. Olav Lundström has been appointed Lifecycle Service Manager and will begin his career at VEO on November 4th.

”The development of our lifecycle services is an important strategic investment for VEO. We aim to provide our customers with expert support for all their needs throughout the lifecycle of our deliveries. Olav brings extensive experience and expertise that will help us expand our service offering,” VEO’s CEO Timo Ala-Heikkilä says.

Under Lundström’s leadership, VEO’s lifecycle service team will be responsible for managing hardware performance, conducting site assessments, creating upgrade proposals, and management of the spare parts services. The lifecycle service will include both remote support and, when needed, on-site assistance.

GET TO KNOW

OLAV LUNDSTRÖM

Who are you?

I am the new Lifecycle Service Manager at VEO. I’m from Mustasaari, Finland, and currently live nearby in Sepänkylä.

I’m a social and open team player who enjoys working with people. Outside of work, I like to spend time at my summer place and go boating.

Your career path to VEO?

I began my career as a teacher, and since then, I’ve had a long and varied career in automation and electrification with both ABB and Hitachi Energy. Through my previous roles as a training manager, sales and marketing manager, project manager, and software and service business manager, I’ve gained a broad perspective on total deliveries. I believe my background will be a valuable asset in this new role as well.

At VEO, I was drawn to the opportunity to work within a local and regional focused company combined with global deliveries. However, I ended up applying this position more by chance than by design. I immediately recognised myself in VEO’s service manager job ad, so I had no choice but to apply. Fortunately, I got the job.

What kind of tasks do you enjoy?

I especially enjoy developing solutions together with my team, customers, and end users. The best feeling comes from creating an optimal solution that helps others succeed in their own work and offer customers a stable and reliable solution along the full lifecycle.

What are your expectations for your career at VEO?

I am excited about the opportunity to create a new service organisation and build a strong service minded team. I’m already looking forward to meeting my new colleagues at various VEO offices and learning the ropes. I strongly believe that by working together, we can build the best possible lifecycle support service for VEO’s customers.
