Turbine governor

VEO Hydropower Governor (VEO-HPG) is a hydropower turbine governor and control system. This digital integrated turbine governor system increases system reliability and performance by minimising the number of system interface components.

The VEO-HPG system is designed according to client needs and existing hydraulic power units. The digital governor system enables plant-specific regulation for optimum turbine efficiency. The system and its various operating modes are easily controlled via a user-friendly local control panel and a remote-control system.

The VEO-HPG turbine governor is suitable for and meets the most demanding grid code compliance requirements and is activated to support the frequency of the national grid for both FCR-N and FCR-D functions. The VEO-HPG turbine governor is based on the Siemens S7-1500 programmable logic series and is suitable for Kaplan, Pelton, and Francis water turbine regulation.
