Machine protection

VEO helps prevent unexpected down-times and ensures smooth plant operation through high-quality machine protection, based on a wide range of automation and electrification know-how as a system integrator. Besides a unique system design, our delivery includes determining the settings for new protective relays as well as verifying their optimal functionality. Over the years, we have delivered over 400 motor and generator protection projects to our clients, with a scale stretching from 0.5MW up to 300 MW.

Thanks to VEO’s brand-independence, we can design machine protection around any common protective relay (e.g. Siemens, Schneider). Alternatively, our clients can choose to utilise VEO’s own innovative solution, Motor Commander/Generator Commander, which combines both machine protection and excitation in one small device. This means that you can cost-effectively renew both the machine protection and the excitation system in one go.
